Your MYCAA Check List

1). Go to https://aiportal.acc.af.mil/mycaa/ 1-800-342-9647

THIS IS THE FIRST STEP FOR CAREER PLAN ELIGIBILITY.

This will then send you to the information and the qualifications for being eligible for MYCAA

Hit the REGISTER BUTTON and enter in your last name and SS# and follow the prompts.

2). Read the program fact sheet and agree to the statement of understanding.

3). Next click at the top of your page on the link for "Profile" fill out all three tabs for Profile, Education, and Employment History. Be as accurate as you can be and if you don't know an address or telephone number for another school or previous employment search it through www.yellowpages.com

4). Next click on the tab at the top of the main page where it says "Goals and Plans" You will locate your school: CALIFORNIA DENTAL CERTIFICATIONS, and select your course that you wish to take: DENTAL 1-INTRODUCTION TO DENTAL ASSISTING (if this is the course your taking).

• Call your school to confirm what your student ID is, you will need this information to complete your training plan and to be able to submit it.
• You will also need to know the total cost for your selected course ($4000.00, if its DENTAL 1) and or courses, start and end date, career field, description, institution, and plan type.
• Under "PROGRAM DOCUMENT FILE", go to the "Courses" button on the website: www.dentalcertifications.com, highlight the whole course description including cost & logo, then insert as a word document.
• Once you have submitted your Career and Training Plan you will then send a message from your MYCAA account message box located at the top of your screen requesting "Career Plan Approval" so you can receive financial assistance.
• We suggest you call 1-800-342-9647 and ask to speak with a "MYCAA Representative" to insure your application has been filled in correctly, or the 15 days your waiting for approval could be all for nothing. Representatives are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  
• *Be consistent if you are not able to get a hold of a representative right away, keep calling and stay on top of things!

THIS IS THE SECOND STEP FOR FINANCIAL AID (FA) APPROVAL.

5). Next, click on "Apply for FA" at the top of your screen and follow the prompts, your MYCAA account is now complete.

6). CDC HIGHLY RECOMMENDS CALLING A MYCAA REPRESENTITIVE FOR ASSISTANCE, THEY WILL WALK YOU THROUGH START TO FINISH IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS.

7). Last, call back California Dental Certifications to let the school know you have completed both your Career Plan & FA Document online and been accepted by MYCAA!
