Your MYCAA Check List

1). Go to www.militaryonesource.com 1-800-342-9647

• Scroll down to the bottom left hand corner and click on the link "Military Families".
• From that link it will send you the user to a page where the user will then choose the correct branch that his or her service member currently serves in currently today.
• Once you have selected your service members correct branch it will then send you to that specific branches website through military one source.
• Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the little brown business suit that says "MyCAA" underneath it.
• This will then send you to the information and the qualifications for being eligible for MYCAA
• Create your User name and password. DO NOT give this information out to anyone and if you have change your password immediately!

2). Read the program fact sheet and agree to the statement of understanding.

3). Be careful when signing any school documents (on paper or on-line) involving money. MyCAA pays up to $6,000. Costs above $6,000 are you the students responsibility.

4). Next click at the top of your page on the link for "Profile" fill out all three tabs for Profile, Education, and Employment History. Be as accurate as you can be and if you don't know an address or telephone number for another school or previous employment search it through www.yellowpages.com

5). Next click on the tab at the top of the main page where it says "Career and Training Plan" You will locate your school and select your course that you wish to take.

• Call your school to confirm what your student ID is, you will need this information to complete your training plan and to be able to submit it.
• You will also need to know the total cost for your selected course and or courses, start and end date, career field, description, institution, and plan type.
• Once you have submitted your Career and Training Plan you will then send a message from your MYCAA account message box located at the top of your screen requesting "Career Plan Approval" so you can receive financial assistance.
• We suggest you call for a quicker result in getting your career and training plan approve over the phone just call 1-800-342-9647 and ask to speak with a "MYCAA Representative". He or she will take care of you. Representatives are available 24 hours a day, so it doesn't matter what time you call.
• *Be consistent if you are not able to get a hold of a representative right away, keep calling and stay on top of things!

6). Next, click on "Apply for FA" at the top of your screen and follow the prompts and then your MYCAA account is completed and you start your course and your well on your way!

7). If you, the student needs a more thorough walk though, you may also do all of this with a MYCAA representitive on the telephone, they will walk you through start to finish.

8). Last, call back California Dental Certifications to let the school know you have completed your online approval and been accepted by MYCAA!
